Thanks for this, Jan.

It appears to be a brute of a little burner!

I also have one of these. What do you burn in it?

Gil

Gil, mind you i have no directions, so i might be doing everything wrong here  ::)

I used cheap bio-ethanol stove fuel, but think pure drinking alcohol (just like the Everclear you guys tend to use in meth burners) will be my future choice.
The initial pressure escaping during preheating, and the remaining when it is blown out, does leave quite an odeur.

One thing i learned up close, was that one should pay full attention towards NOT tilting the burner backwards (towards the feeder pipe) when it´s going.
If disregarded, the pressure inside it will squirt quite a bit of unvaporized fuel through the nozzle in no time.
In my case i was fortunate that the stupid amount of fuel escaping simply drowned the fire, but had it not i would have had fire all over my wall and table.
All pretty obvious in hindsight, if one just take a minute and actually look at the construction.

Thanks guys  :)

It´s pretty impressive, and most definitely not a childrens toy.

I'm impressed! I have two of these burners and just reading the directions left me too scared to try lighting one of them. I might have to brave it now!

Doug, would and could you by any chance share the burner instructions?
Would love to see which approach they recommend for this little beast.
