Yes he had a very good run and he was also happy to have finished his plowing this year before the ground froze up. :)

One of the last great steam men has passed away on December 22nd, 2 days short of his 102nd birthday (which would have been today). I wish I had known about their gathering in October long ago, but I had just learned of it in recent years. I was lucky enough to meet and talk to Bud (Robert) for a short time last year. This past October it was too cold and hard for him to hear others so he stayed in the house. Chris (CBWho) has seen a couple of his engines in Forest City. RIP Bud!

I was lucky enough to be invited up onto Bud's Advance two months ago. Here’s a picture of Bud in the middle with that Advance and a friend Troy on the right who taught me a little about the engine
