I'd love to follow along this build, also. I've been eyeballing a few if these kits. This looks like an interesting one.

I love those Parsell & Weed engines! Looking forward to hearing this one run.

Doug, love to follow this build along with photos :)

I'm looking forward to this build. I have the casting kit for the vertical version of the Parcell and Weed engine that I purchased from Todd at Cabin Fever 2018.
Life has been pretty hectic lately, so I haven't started it yet.
Maybe soon.....

Can't wait to follow the build, by the way, your pictures will get larger if you click on them ;)
And if you want them larger in the post itself, simply click the "inline-full size image" option when attaching pictures.

My confidence in my machining abilities is not to the point of wanting to document it! I'm afraid it would be more of a documentary on how "not to do it". My engines always run when i am done (eventually), but I am still surprised every time, that i have completed a working engine.

Looks like it'll be an interesting engine build. Will you be documenting the process of the build?
Also can you supply a link to the suppliers webpage, I'd like to have a look at what else they do. 😀

I guess I'll be the first one to list under this heading, since I'm the one who asked for it. Thank you, Gil!
I am putting the finishing touches on my model vertical Domestic hit and miss engine. And, after much consideration, had decided on another of Little Loco's engine kits. If you've never built one of Todd's engine kits, you will be in for a pleasant surprise. I built the half-scale Essex hot air engine last winter, and was super-impressed with the quality of the CAD drawn blueprints and the CD containing hundreds of quality pictures of the set-up and machining process for all of the various parts.
This Parsell and Weed horizontal scale engine includes all bronze castings, thirty pages of 11" x 17" CAD drawings, and a CD containing hundreds of pictures to help with the machining process. I hope to get started on this today, and have it ready for the outdoor show season, starting in May.
As soon as the varnish dries on my vertical Domestic, I will have some further pictures posted here, as well.

You can see my IT guy (Mrscrazydoug) is still figuring out the picture sizing. Hopefully we will figure out how to make the pictures larger soon!
