I forgot how hard it is to film and hold the airline at the same time. :)

I haven't started cleaning yet, Mainly just testing the mechanical bits as I go.
Tonight I put new balls and washers in the pump sections and ran the engine on air.
It seems to work but I noticed afterwords that I didn't have the lubricator cap on.

I had not found anything either. I basically had the same engine you do. The seller had it since new. Boy was it a week long cleaning and putting back together.

I was not able to find any markings concerning the date of manufacture, Gray base, blue cylinder covers, ceramic bead insulation on the wires.

That end looks to be in good shape...

Do you have the dashboard/cover, and if so what year is this plant?

Okay, so does the pump have a ball in every section?
I may have to put together an assembly manual for future reference. :)

I have not taken mine apart, but I know @Gearhead Jed has had one apart (but has since sold it)

I put a couple of things back together and tested on air, I see activity in the gauges so that's good.

Hi guys,
These really are tedious buggers to work on ;)
It seems that previous owners have fixed a thing or two over the years so it will be interesting getting the different length bolts and new pipes all sorted.

Will be following closely as this looks very interesting - hopefully it will work out well.

A major task there Bill, will be looking forward to see how you choose to "attack" it  :)

If the boiler is dead, i guess a 3" immersionheated Jensen boiler could easily feed those cylinders (and if not a bellyheater could be added).
But it would need a bit of surgery, to get that wilesco sightglass fitted on there, to keep it perfectly hidden under those covers.

They say that anything can be repaired....

If it casts a shadow, it can be restored :)

Good Luck!  :D  :D

They’re not very user friendly for repairing without removing solder joints. How do the encaps of the boiler look? Any cracking?

I have had this for several years now, a box of parts and pieces. :-\

[attach=1]

I have no doubts that it can be resurrected, I think it is mostly complete and the bits that are missing can be made or replaced.
A warning: there may be some modifications along the way.
I'm thinking that it would be nice if the pump could be removed for servicing without de-soldering/re-soldering
