I love that railroad Larry (https://emoji.tapatalk-cdn.com/emoji482.png)
So many fine details, and the possibility to put it all away behind doors, when other things is going on down there.
Well done, and thanks for sharing !

I really enjoyed watching the video Larry, Beautiful engine, excellent use of space.
-
Well... if you need a place to store those full cabinets... ;) ;) :D
-
Nice , nice nice....Larry ,Love it all. you have an incredible amount of work done in a short time.
-
Thanks for all the nice comments on this thread. I would have done some other steam engines but the timing was just wrong - the train room is starting to return to use but is full of overflow items and the steam room and bathroom are still under reconstruction as you can see from the pictures.........hopefully next year things will be more settled.

Larry, amazing setup & the attention to details is outstanding. Thanks for the pics & clip

Nice indoor layout, with what looks like lots of operating opportunities. I like the fold-down doors. Keeps the dust (and in my case dog hair) to a minimum

What do you need bubble wrap and peanuts for Nick?
The inflow always exceeds the outflow according to your wife. 🤠

I have these plans to sell stuff... but... well... you know...
-
At Nick's suggestion I took a video using my iPhone - a little shaky trying to work the transmitter with one hand (tied down the valve gear on the Tx) and take a movie with the other.
Thank you Larry!! that video was very well done, especially if you had the transmitter in your other hand 8)
I'm looking at all the junk I've been saving in my basement (including bubble wrap and peanuts) and thinking I need to have a big clear-out and do something similar... 8)

Fantastic Larry.
You did a nice job on the video.
Thanks for making the effort.

Excellent, post a video if you get the lighting sorted.
Len.

Your setup looks better each time I see it, top
-
Larry, I can only imagine the amount of time / love you've put in to this. Very very impressive. Just don't plan on moving any time soon ;)
-
Hey Larry .... that looks really amazing!
Can I come over to play???
-
Wow Larry, that was all in your basement? Nice looking set up.
-
What a great layout, Garden railway indoors is a good idea if you have the room. Love it.
-
Such a great idea, I don't see any reason to leave that basement ;) :D
LED's can be troublesome with video... Do you have a smart phone to try taking the video?
-
Always sunny and dry at the indoor railway. Thanks for showing it!
-
Looks great Larry.
Now you have options for all weather conditions!
Looks like it can provide hours of fun.
Thank you for participating in GPU 2020! 🤠

Noticed I got the same picture twice but don't have the courage (or knowledge) to change it within the original post so here's the missing picture of the tavern and the coal dealer.

I really wanted to make a video of my Overbrook Court Light Railway but it turned out that my camera doesn't like LED lighting, at least in movie mode so......here are too many still pictures.

I found out that my outside layout was great for about six months a year but not so during winter and/or inclement weather so I started trying to build one indoors. First try was on the floor under the O gauge layout which didn't work well for many reasons. Then I tried using one level of the workshop shelves which worked out well with the addition of hinged dust covers. The shelf is 2' wide and total overall length is 35' so it's a reasonable run in a dogbone shape with 40" and 80" radius curves using Sunset Valley 45mm track.
[attachimg=2]
The station is a Thorley Miniatures (TM) kit that was kitbashed to alter its' shape to fit the area.
[attachimg=3]
Standing beside the station inside the south dogbone loop looking north.
[attachimg=4]
The goods shed is another TM kit which, like most of the other buildings, has had an interior and lighting added.
[attachimg=5]
Thorley's End, a TM kit, was fun trying to get something that looked like a set of levers included.
[attachimg=6]
The elevated building (TM) was built to add a little vertical element to the scenery.
[attachimg=7]
The coal stage is TM while the water tank is British Building Kits.
[attachimg=8]
The turntable is SwiftSixteen, a very nice kit.
[attachimg=9]
The engine house is TM, with quite nice detail included.
[attachimg=10]
The tavern (kit bashed from extras left over from station) and the coal dealer are both TM.
[attachimg=11]
The yard is strictly three tracks and even that was hard to achieve using the standard radii of 40" and 80".
[attachimg=12]
The last picture is looking south from the north dogbone loop.
Hope you all enjoyed the somewhat overlong tour of the Overbrook Court Light Railway and will come back someday when I have a video - thanks!
