What great engines, all of them. An engine should do some sort of work
Definately old iron envy here.

That's a great model, Gil.

I have a set of castings for the 2" model, and, as usual, there is a story here.

Several years ago I was at an automotive flea market and spied a flywheel casting on a lady's junk table. I rummaged around, and from different spots on the table I found the cylinder, the beam, the beam bracket and everything but the base and legs. The lady watched me and said, "Since you seem to know what those things are, they must be worth ten dollars to you."  I agreed, and ran off as if I had the box with the singing frog in it.

Myers supplied the base. Now all I have to do is get at it.😇

I was fortunate to acquire this small bore highly detailed Rider Ericsson scale model directly from the builder about 10-12 years ago.
Stephen Pierce was another master of his craft who earned craftsmanship awards for this in 2007 and a miniature steam donkey in a different year.

Here is a video of it made today after completing the tasks at hand.

Enjoy,

Gil
