Agree completely with Nick, it´s a beaut Gil, thanks for sharing !

As a sidenote...
Rare as a standalone Omega-genny might be, this plant also has the first all yellow UL sticker i´ve noticed on a Jensen.
Might be me not paying enough attention, but definitely not an average thing to have one of those on the base either.

Thanks, Jan!

That's nice Gil. I'm still looking for a early 20 big power plant with horseshoe generator or Omega magnet would be fine.

Thanks, Randy! I'll keep my eyes open.

Thanks for those pictures Gil, probably not something Mr. Jensen thought we'd be discussing about his engines (https://emoji.tapatalk-cdn.com/emoji23.png)  If I had gotten that engine as a kid, it would have been the first thing I peeled off

Thanks, Nick. You are correct... Tom Sr. would scratch his head, light a cigar, and say... They're discussing WHAT...??  A UL sticker??

A very nice rare Big power plant there Gil.

I can remember seeing that very engine listed for sale, and you acquiring it.  Time really does go by so quickly!

Nice to see.

Thanks, Steven! I recall discussing it with you and yes, time sure does fly by quickly.

Red is a fleeting color, particularly noticeable on some older art prints.
I once had a litho of a woman by an artist named Marie Laurencin from France.
I was told my picture should have had a fair amount of red in it and there was none noticeable anywhere.
I found the catalog raisonne and sure enough there was lots of red at one time. It was printed in the 1930's.

I will post pictures of 3 different UL stickers. While there is no evidence of red in the yellow sticker in question, you can see on the other 2 that it is not difficult to imagine the rest of the red coming off of them. In the close up you can see yellow under the red. It is quite possible I have a well cleaned UL sticker in need of a restoration which I will just leave alone!

I just assumed it had faded out to that color. What’s your thoughts Gil? Would sure be neat if it has an oddball sticker too

A good to do list while sequestered by the risk of virus includes a steam-up!

In my case, as steam-up with my granddaughter, CiCi, and a 1951 Jensen Big Power Plant.

That it was built in 1951 is clear by the unmistakable round magnet generator.

I acquired this back in 2008 or 2009 and I don't recall running it at all until just now.
It has been sitting idle too long but enjoyed on display every day at the Office of Steam.

Enjoy,

Gil
