The label looks good Bruce!

It looks like this haul has given you hours of enjoyment.  :)
it has mostly all been moved on now Charlie, save the Jensen #55 (which is all I was really after) and the horsehair buffer accessory which did not sell & I'm OK with that as I know its rare.

Good eye Nick , I did see that little circle, but thought Wilesco's stickers more oval , this answers that question, thank you  :)

I only know because I once had this D6 that I sent on to Owen Kraus

I didnīt notice the sticker residue, which would make this the 2nd (if not 3rd variation), and much closer to the mid than late 50īs.
Well spotted Mr. Severson !

Before (as received) sorry for the photobucket watermark so prominently displayed across the most important area, I bought a pkg, but I think I went to cheap & didn't get image sharing capabilities...if anyone knows about this issue, please inform me  :)

I gave up on photobucket/Flickr when they kept increasing prices and now use the forum's gallery. You can setup your own gallery with categories and sub-categories and it gives you a bbcode that you simply copy/paste to embed the pictures. The gallery automatically re-sizes the images and they take up far less space than attachments. Also makes bulk uploading from a phone very easy.
I need to get with the times & check into this more, thanks.

Tomorrow I'll make a good video of how the gallery works and share it with you guys... It's pretty easy once you figure it out  ;)

And very nice job cleaning up that Wilesco

You may notice on the front/center of the base is some sticker residue, that engine had this early run sticker:

You did an amazing job on this one Bruce, turned out to be a very nice example after some SPSTLC :)

It is a mid 50īs to very early 60īs Wilesco D5.

(Same model as the current D6, only without sightglass in the boilerend).

A Wilesco D4 has no whistle, and a straight steamline:

Did a little work on the Wilesco D4 ? (not sure what # it really is, anyone know for sure ?) ended up dissembling the whole thing & making it right.

Please do realize that those catalog lithographs are not at all like a true photograph, and often are slightly different than the actual item .... artistic license if you will, or possibly drawn from a prototype rather than from a true production model. They are really only a "representation" of the item.

@Nick & Bruce, the drip oil cups are Doll or Carette without a doubt. Bruce, can you post a closeup of the oil cups please to try to identify the maker.
Hi Mike & Nick, I am downloading a video currently ,but was able to get a few good picture of the oil cups & a I believe a definite casting # on the horse hair grinder tool, I will post the pics ASAP .
Nick the 10/257 is close to that single grinding wheel accessory...but not quite it , my shroud has a little kick up on the top.

I was going to guess Doll, but wasn't sure... I will look in my Carette book and see if I find anything like it...

Nice mix of accessories, Bruce. I think the grinder on the wood base might be Bing, I have one like it sans base. I'll have a look through some books for some ID on the other ones.

Here is what I found in my Bing books, first 3 are 1906 and last 2 are from Bing Werke era... most of them have a fancier pedestal and only one looks close...

That was cool Bruce !!!

I think i was just as excited here as you, everytime you dived in for a new piece  :)

Sorry that the 55 got damaged, but fortunately a relatively easy fix. Otherwise a very nice haul, and all together well worth the investment.
Thanks Jan, even though I had sent a msg right away to please package the Jensen #55 carefully ,as that was the reason for the whole purchase....he didn't, he had a few pieces of bubble pack between the layers & that was it, really a miracle that more damage was not done  :-\ , Yes the Jensen should be a relatively easy fix , its in really good condition considering that it was bashing everything else in the box, the Fleischman lineshaft was also petty nice. I need to find out more about that little vertical Weeden , its a parts engine but I can tell it had little use & the electric heater still works. that little alcohol burner is a pretty neat item as well, the wick is held in that apparatus that raises up & down, I'm kind of interested to try that out today.

Thanks again Jan for the tip  ;)

This original eBay thread was listed By Jan (classixs) for someone state side to hopefully grab onto....well ,I bit & thought I would take my chances as it had a 1950's Jensen #55 engine & steamline  that I thought might be worth it...I noticed a few other gems in the mix as well, although it had scant packaging ...a couple pieces of bubble pack , nothing was individually wrapped as I had requested from the seller moments after I purchased it.I was fortunate more didn't get damaged.
if you have time....take a look through with me as I open up the contents for the 1st time.
