Certainly a well built example
Anyone know what Mirko is up to?

To answer Nick's question from about a year ago, no I didn't make one for myself. ;)

Awesome Hammer Bill! Works great too 8)
Did you make one for yourself too?
I finally added a Stuart hammer to the collection this past winter. Have you seen the hammer in action at Rollag?

Thanks for the comments, overall it was a fun project.
The finish is glass bead achieved with my small media blaster.
The cylinder can be accessed by removing the small brass hex screws and plate.

Awesome, Bill..!!
Great work!

That is cool. A Wilesco cylinder, wow.
-
Well now that is certainly a very nice representation of the real thing.
I like the authoritative Snap it gives when the lever is briskly applied!

I was going through my old videos and came across this, I thought it might be of interest to some.
This is a model Steam hammer built around a Wilesco cylinder.
I built this for Mirko (Dampfzauberer) several years ago based on his original wooden model.
Here it is powered by a small aquarium pump.
