I believe that Galveston Bay is the home to one of the largest winter populations of Brown Pelicans in North America. 

One of my favorites.

I don't think we get Pelicans in Michigan. I believe we're either too far east of their fly way, or they found out my brother has a recipe for em.

We get plenty of entertainment from the pelicans at the lake and gut-hooked fish
