With everyone home 24/7 because of the covid 19 virus, it's getting harder and harder to be the first one to click on a good buy-it-now on Ebay.  This little half-scale replica Cretors came up for sale on Ebay a few days ago, and although I wasn't the first to see it, I was the first to decide that the buy-it-now price was a really good one, and I did not hesitate.

I've done nothing to it but oil the appropriate places, and other than a very slight knock at low speeds, it runs excellently, smoothly, and at under 1 psi.  I doubt that this engine was built to run on steam, so I will probably do a tear-down and inspection before trying it on steam.  My guess would be a cast-iron piston and proper rings will be necessary, along with some packing around the glands.
