I finally got some photos of my Paul Breisch Cretors replica engine, and while cleaning it up for the pictures, I began to realize that all of the castings on this are bronze, except for the base, which is aluminum. Knowing that, I decided to go ahead and run it on steam without doing anything further to the engine itself, and it runs quite well on steam. I believe that these casting kits are still being sold by Meyers, but if I am not mistaken, all of the castings made now are aluminum, making this one quite a prize, in my opinion. I will certainly be hanging on to it!
