That's very very impressive.

That's very nice work.
Must be; I said it twice!

Was in need of a tiny "pulley-puller" a couple of years ago, and decided to try out one of these cheap Chinese models:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Motor-Pinion-Gear-Puller-Remover-Tools-Set-For-Rc-Helicopter-Motor-Pinion-P-V2T2/283877675226
Much to my surprise, it actually works very well, and is much better quality than i´d initially expected.
Furthermore, special inserts for the "horseshoe" is very easily made, if one doesn´t want to alter the original on such an expensive tool ;)
Only downside i´ve found, is that the width of the "horseshoe" does restrict the size of wheel that can be pulled, but on the other hand the tool itself doesn´t demand much room in tight spaces.
LoL…..I have this one.....(somewhere) ,but a fellow can always use another one, especially a USA made one.

Removing pulleys
Removing the small pulleys proved easy with this little wheel puller, I originally purchased this for removing the old cracked wheels from Pre-war era Lionel engines.
[attachimg=1]
The larger wheels needed a little coaxing with the screwdriver before the wheel puller could be inserted.

Exactly what I was thinking Bruce!
Very nice work Bill.

I'm still enjoying my #3 of 5 WEJCO 100 Workshop. Thanks again Bill.
-
Thanks Gil :)

Superb, Bill....Just plain superb...!!!

Looks good Bill, time well spent.
-
Thanks Bill, this was "Exactly" what I was looking for …..much appreciated :)

I really like the narrow/longer format that you've created here. Looks far more "authentic" and would tuck into a workshop building far better than the Jensen original.
Thanks Daniel, I can't take any credit for the layout though.

Here is the pulley and screw.
[attachimg=1]
As far as removing the blade from the saw goes, I struggled with that for a while.
I was afraid of breaking the saw if I pried too much, it can be done but my advice is to cut the shaft here, between the pillow block and the brass spacer, the shaft does not go into the other pillow block so the blade and short bit of shaft will drop out and you can remove the the longer section of shaft from the left
[attachimg=2]
The shaft is easily replaced with a new length of 1/8" rod or piano wire.

I see you also have the drill press functioning off the bottom stud (as designed) I am currently getting ready to do that myself....I would love to know how you proceeded with that. your stanchions are lovely & very elegant. I noticed you also put a grinding wheel on one of the table saws...I have yet to be able to get the saw blade off of the table saw , would be interested in how you did that as well, Very well done Bill & an outstanding job thus far, cant wait to see everything painted up slick & the finished Jensen #200
Bruce this is how I modified the Drill press, I feel a little bad about modifying it as there is not an unlimited supply.
I cut this shaft off leaving just a nub, then filed it flat.
[attachimg=1]
Next I found a piece of Brass tubing that was a nice fit over the nub, and transfer punch that fit the tubing.
[attachimg=2]
Whapped it with the hammer.
[attachimg=3]
and proceeded to drill and tap it.
[attachimg=4]
I turned a double pulley, drilled and bored it to accommodate a shoulder screw.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
With all that is going on these days I find myself taking sanctuary in my workshop more often. :)

That's a nice setup, Bill - turned out great!

Great job Bill !!!
...and a very wise move, to ad a third post to the center of the lineshaft (https://emoji.tapatalk-cdn.com/emoji482.png)

Nicely done Bill!

I like the look of the lineshaft. Ellegant and functional at the same time. Very nice.

Hi Guys,
I thought I would share one of my current projects.
A few more large pulleys to fit and some new paint on the old Jensen tools but it's getting there.
