Perhaps the main drawback in my mind is having the drive chain running in such close proximity to the inside of my left leg, as I can easily see bad things happening in that vicinity.

Think I like this set-up better, in most all categories of range, efficiency and practicality .... except of course in brute Harleyistic apparence!

But then perhaps the Steam Hog really is a far more capable machine than I'm giving it credit for here, it just "seems" to me, less likely to be ... all that!
