Another great SPS Jensen Mod Bruce.
2 1/2 hour run is awesome.
Thanks for sharing. 🤠

Thanks for posting this Bruce.
The added flywheel sure does balance the beast nicely!
Great work!

Bruce do you have any pics of the Baker Fan?
let me see what I can dig up Jim , I feature it in several video's anything in particular that you would like to see ?
here we go Jim, this is pretty descriptive.

here is what I wrote when I posted it originally
Miniature model Baker fan with Wilesco D406 steam tractor, made with an oak frame & pine paddles , measures 5" tall , 5 1/2" long & 2 3/4" wide, has 2 brass pulleys that are 15/16" od x 1/2" wide (flat belt size) and the smaller brass pulley is 5/8" od. the frame is secured by 2 brass stay rods, it has 2 flanged roller ball bearings supporting the axle. almost any steam engine that can run rather slowly will power it. it does move air, so higher speeds create greater drag...thus needing more power...just like the full size baker fans.

Thanks for the nice comments & name choices also, I had looked up the offspring of Rams & the name was "Ram lamb", but I think I might save that for a possible #85 conversion.

Very nice Bruce, and wow does two flywheels enhance an engine.
Reminded me I must try to make one of your wind brakes, I had forgotten about that.
Love what you come up with mate, always a pleasure to view.

The Jensen #35 has been needing that "look" for a long time now, so it doesn't surprise me that you have gone ahead and created it here Bruce!
Perhaps a suitable moniker for this little wonder would be the Jensen #35 TFOO (Twin Flywheel Overhead Oscillator) which could easily be corrupted into .................... the "Jensen 35 Typhoon"!?!?

It's a Mini Ram! :D
All these types of engines should have two flywheels, makes them look so much better 8)

Hi folks
this is something I've wanted to do for awhile & I found the time here lately to follow through with my idea. its basically a Jensen #35 with a specially fabricated 3 stanchion bracket that supports a split axle with center drive throw/crank, each stanchion has a roller ball bearing in it. now it runs super smooth. Jensen #35's don't have a throttle control ...but with a variac the speed can be controlled quite well.
I would appreciate some help in giving this a name, Jan came up with the "Ram" name for my #20 based overhead engine, so throw out some ideas for a name please :)
I just finished a 2.5 hr run with it @ 55 volts
