Any chance of a Family Portrait of your SPS Engines?
Something I have thought about just recently Charlie, many are gone but enough left to fill a tabletop, I will try to work on this in the coming weekend. 👍
Yippee!!!

If I didn't see the construction process laid out, I'd say it was original.

You have been very busy Bruce.
Thanks for the build pictures.
This is a beautiful steam plant.

You sure keep your Chrome Shop busy (and they do an excellent job).

Hi folks
I just finished this plant up a few days ago. it started life as an orphan #55 steam engine purchased from E-bay. I fashioned a new firebox with soldered in 6/32 nuts and reinforced soldered corner gussets, I riveted the boiler & added a "Hotwatt" 555W immersion heater & had the whole boiler professionally nickel plated & it is powerful. the #15 generator/transmission has a longer axle,(2) 5 tiered pulleys & (2) working oil cups & Jensen decal in front. the #55 engine is one of the best runners that I've had in my shop, this plant weighs 10.6 lbs. (full boiler) & the plinth is 12" x 13.5. a special ID tag has been made 555W , 5 amp , made by St. Paul Steam.
here are a few build photo's
