Sorry Bill...
I "stole" a couple of minutes at work, for browsing this place on my phone. Concentration wasn´t entirely focused on either appearently.
Nonetheless, i stand by my comment, aside for the obvious "hiccup"  :)

Yes, that's the one, didn't know it hadn't been released yet. I like it!

I like all the black with the nickel  8)  Hopefully the boiler holds up well

By the way, have you seen the new D145 workshop?

Thanks to all, I appreciate the comments.

Nick,
This one is supposed to be released this summer

We will have to wait and see what happens.

I really like the colour scheme on your D161, much better than blue.
It's a great runner and not too noisy,
I always remove the drive belt from the fake governor before I run my D10 or D24el, the noise off that gets on my nerves.

Thanks Kieth

A handsome plant to be sure, sometimes gear noise bothers me & sometimes I think they enhance the experience , in this case I like the sound.

Thanks Bruce, My kitchen table tends to amplify sound, I will endeavor to run it on a more solid surface next time.

Somewhat unfamiliar in green etc, but I like it more than the traditional blue.

Interesting colour scheme, particularly the black boiler. Good to see you running it off gas.

NICE!!!!

The colors are very satisfying to the eye, and the function is very satisfying to the soul .... I do like that one!

Good color scheme and I don't have a problem with noise, unless it's grinding to a halt.

I purchased new Wilesco D161 from Peter a while back and it has been quietly sitting in my living room for a couple of weeks, I have finally had some time to fire it up.

Here is just the engine running

and a short video at the end of the run with the drive shaft hooked up.

The photos really don't do it justice, I like the Green, Black and Nickel as a color scheme.
I will say that the plastic bevel gears are extremely noisy, I may investigate replacing them with Brass ones to see if that will quiet it down.

Here it is with the rest of the family.
