I cannot help you guess the age .... but I can certainly agree with you, that is one incredibly beautiful machine in seemingly immaculate condition, for any age that it may actually be!

Truly LOVELY!!!
Title: Märklin 4158/7

Hi Steamers - just bought this nice Märklin Steam Plant 4158. This is the smallest one that has a Boiler of 7 centimeters.
I like the compact design of this size. The Burner has a special displacement of two different Heads. The Dynamo seems to
be original too - but it looks too small. I do also have a 4158/11 which is a very impressive big engine with a big Dynamo.
The Märklin arrived with the original wooden box and complete accessories. I think it is very rare today to find such a perfect state.
This Märklin was never treated badly...
and made already a first run - excellent!
How old is this Engine? Production could be around 1930 - Who knows more???
