Interesting video Daniel, thank you.
I telephoned Robert Olds on Monday in Maryborough (he's the middle of 3 generations of Olds who are engineers) and ended up having a long chat with him, a very interesting man to talk to.

Here's a brief video focusing on something else made by Olds Engineering that has a real world practical application and gives a quick look into their shops.

Thanks guys, very happy with this purchase as you could probably pick up in the video :) .

Jim you did a great job cleaning up that flywheel and I
love the wood you use.
-
They are a great design with a place for everything.
-
Well done Jim!
These engines are in a different league to those we are used to.....
I cleaned, oiled, filled the gas tank, and put mine away before last Christmas. Ready for Easter's show.
Obviously, that didn't happen, due to corvid.....
Dring last Monday's show day, it ran faultlessly for almost 6hrs. Straight out of the box.
Here it is today, awaiting a rub down, and a spot of oil. Ready for Sept 19th, at Papplewick.......

Great purchase Jim!, great that it is Australian made too.

I've been lucky enough to see David's Huxtable Stirling running in person a few times.
