Not sure about this “ air  carry on “
I do live steam shows  i have an electric Wilesco D24 with a feed pump attached as a main engine always running with accs and generator with lights  fo kids to play with .
A theme is good.  And Plenty of meths and water for other engines to run .
Cheap engines for sale does not go amiss .

Cheers
Dennis

I also take a picture of how everything is packed in my car, so i can get it all to fit back in. Of course, leave a space for new purchases so your wife doesnt have to walk home🙂

Do a mock up at home and take a picture of the final layout for reference.

Make sure you have a pile of fittings to hook up everything on air.

Have a theme for your display.
