Good news since last posting was a message saying for the cost of postage, a new hardback copy of the 1912 catalogue by Cavendish would be on its way to me, so gratefully accepted that kind offer.
Sourcing the missing parts ie smokestack, safety valve and a non working pressure gauge would cost me approx £200 from a seller in Germany so this bit is on hold at present.
I did get a fairly complete second poppet valve engine, 110mm flywheel which I do not need, so hopefully it will find a good home with a member one day.

No problem, always happy to help bring an old engine back to life ;)
-
You´re most welcome Stuart :)
Please do share some pics of the engine, as soon as you find it fit for a photoshoot.

My sincere thanks to Nick and Jan
One Bing that wil now be saved and brought back to life.

I have the 1912 catalogue here, feel free to PM me Stuart :)

I was mistaken, I have 1898 and 1906, not 1912... can anyone else help?
-
Yes, you can do that

Nick
If you have the 1912 reprint to look something up that would be much appreciated
May I send a PM if you can help please?
Thanks
Stuart

I believe I have the 1898 and 1912 reprints
-
If anyone has a copy would be grateful if they could contact me as need some dimensions to confirm a missing part I have been offered.
I believe there is a reprint copy by New Cavendish books
Or any Bing knowledgeable member who may be able to help on engine identification.
Thank you
Stuart
