Oh, that makes sense.
See, that's another example of, I don't know what the heck I'm doing.
I best check out the fees.
It’s not something you’re supposed to do on ebay... and if you say the wrong thing in your messages, you may end up with your account suspended...
Between ebay and PayPal fees, you will end up losing close to 20% of your final sale price. It hurts, but sometimes ebay will get you a higher final price and puts your sale out to a lot more people. If you don’t know the value or what you have, letting your auction run to the end is usually your best option. Simply having “steam engine” in the title will allow everyone to find it... I found it within a few minutes of you listing it.

Nick,
Any idea what the top offer was before he pulled the plug?
No, I’m guessing he got an offer as a private ebay message and ended the listing to sell it outside of ebay to save on fees.

Oops, just seen that you posted yours up on ebay too. Hope it does well with two of them on there at the same time. I know I’ll be watching ;)

EDIT: I see the seller of the other one ended his listing

If you don’t mind waiting a week, you could watch what this one sells for to get an idea of an asking price ;)

Yep, right in the classifieds-for sale area.
If you click “share” on your YouTube video, it will give you a link that you can just copy/paste right into your ad and the forum will automatically embed the video. If you need any help, just let us know ;)

Thank you Nick,
Just place it in the classifieds in this forum?
Regarding video, would it be best to add a link to my youtube page for viewing the engine running?
I appreciate your help.

I would highly recommend seeing if you can find a buyer right here on the forum first as ebay/paypal will take nearly a 20% cut in fees. If you have no luck here and don’t know what to ask, simply list it as an auction and I’m sure it will get bid up to what it’s worth.

Hi,
I hope this message finds you and yours healthy.
I have considered selling my Stuart 5A. It is in very good condition. It came to me basically as a gift.
I have cleaned it up and in the process was able to appreciate the talent of the builder.
Where would you list it/
I don't see any of this model on Ebay to compare??
I'll show a few pics. More to come if interested. I can also hook it up to air and show it running.
Thnaks for your help!
Jeff
I just listed this on eBay.
I’m trying to figure out how to upload the video.
