I've also kept build photos of some of the stuff i had, certainly adds to the provenance of the item.

I do regret not getting more of Geoff's items, i still have my handwritten note and dollar coin that he sent with my chuff pot.  8)

I’m not usually a fan of boxes, but I’ve got my Demon shipping crate on display  8)

Thanks for adding those Charlie  :)

I always ask for build pictures when I custom order steam engines and print them off to display with the engine.

Good idea Nick.

One last picture; the shipping crate which is a work of art and as cherished as the items that came in it!

Hi Nick,
Your items returned from the nickel platers today, I have lapped the valves before and after nickel plating to ensure no leaks or drips, and reassembled the items in the ready to use state. The nickel has come up a treat, it has a rich deep lustre and makes the items look a million bucks, well worth what we paid to have it done. I have mounted your items on some very nice Walnut hardwood I had saved for a special occasion.

I will carefully pack your well wrapped items into a sturdy box and send it off to you , and provide proof of postage and the tracking number.

Kind regards , Geoff

Hi Nick,
Here are some pictures of the stage i`m at.
The pics show only the initial polish, the final polish will be done just prior to sending the items to the Nickel Platers shop. That is why the stainless steel springs are yet to be fitted to the drain cocks.

Was looking through my old emails from Geoff and found the pictures he sent me in his “progress reports”. Thought a few of you may like to see them.

These emails were from April-June of 2017. Thanks again Geoff! You are missed!!

Hiya Nick,
Just to let you know i`m alive and kicking.
Here is my progress report, 3” chuff pot 95% finished , just needs a final buff and polish immediately before going to the nickel platers.
4” feed water tower brazed and legs trued in the lathe so it wont rock on your table.

Best regards , Geoff
