Hi everyone! I'd like to know if there is anywhere or anyone in the United States (preferably California) I can send my hit & miss engine for repairs? I'm trying to avoid having to send it back to China. Thanks for all your previous help but I'm still lost as mechanics is not my forte.  ???

G'day Tony and a warm welcome mate from the South Coast of New South Wales Australia :)

Hope you can get the engine sorted out for your son.

Thank you! I'll give it a try! I never even noticed the screw in back. No surprise considering all I know about this contraption is what I "learn" from an 11 yr. old, ha!

Doubt is should be necessary to return the entire engine to China  :)

Please shoot a few more photos, especially of the head/top end of the engine, would like to know if anything else i bent/broken.

First off, going by your picture, i assume your engine is a M90 like mine here?
As far a taking it down, i really haven´t had much need to do so, but have fettled a bit none the less...so if i´m right in my assumption, i believe that you´re set if you have a 2.5mm hexkey.

Now that the valverod is already gone, just insert the hexkey as in the picture below and loosen that screw.
Don´t think you have to remove it completely, but that way you can move the sprocket outwards towards the flywheel, leaving just enough room for you to remove the part in question.
(Just did it on mine to test, and that still has the fullsize bearing on there.)

Can anyone explain to me how to access and replace new bearing? What type of special tool etc? I'm lost! Do I need to send this back to China for a repair or replacement?  :'(

Hi everyone! I bought a hit & miss engine for an 11 yr. old whom was extremely happy until he dropped and broke it. Stirlingkit has been helpful and is sending me a new ejector bar and bearing. I found this site browsing through Youtube and would be very happy to find help with repairing the engine. I know nothing about mechanics and need help replacing the bearing. Can someone help me with this before I wind up causing more problems than what I started with? Thanks! ???
