Thanks for the info. My son had one of these power supplies on his workbench and i had to have one! It has handled running all my early motors including the  big K&D motors.

Just noticed 3286 is 110 or 220V AC, so yours may be a version of the one above it. Not all sizes and variations are pictured in these catalogs, unfortunately.

This was a recent Ebay purchase.  It was advertised as a Marklin motor, which I believe is accurate, but I would be happy to have someone identify it, perhaps with a date of manufacture, as well.  A few drops of oil and a six volt power supply, and it took right off running.  My guess would be that this motor is around 100 years old, give or take a decade.
