Jim, I only got a quick glance at the burner, but I think you might need to adjust where your jet is, looks to be glowing red.

Only the ceramic Nick.

Have you got little blue cones above the ceramic? I’ll be honest, I don’t know a lot about them  :D

Little blue cones is what to aim for, on a boiler that big with a small BIX I like the ceramic to glow. The brass jet area stays relatively cool to the touch.

First pic is my fav Charlie, that's sure one helluva sunrise!

16.7C....that's my type of temp!

Though we are doing ok here today, its only 26.5°C humidity only 48% (and we had 2" of rain last night) and the sea temp is a wonderful 22°C which makes for some nice swims!

Nice. Reverse seasons Down Under. 👏
