Unfortunately by the time you include shipping on a boiler in this condition (most likely the sight glass threads are cross threaded & probably ruined as is) it could be repaired with bushings, but the value would only be $50 in pristine, no dents , good nickel plating condition , as is now maybe $20.00 + shipping , for most Jensen collectors this is a fairly common boiler.

I did make a Very low offer....and he countered in the middle...I have a nice used Wilesco boiler I would like to fire it with...The price is still a bit higher than I am comfy with is why I was fishing to see if the boiler and electronic heater had Any resale value at all?

Great advice above from Tommy and those Empire pumps are very nice accessories to run.

That's add is a buy it now, did you make an offer? Depending on if who ever put the screws to where
the sight glass goes will tell if it's to far gone for replacing. If it doesn't leak the way it is,
you could use it as is. Remove the top screw if it will come out. Put a fiber gasket on the screw.
Add distilled water until it starts to trickle out, it's full. Tip a little out, put the screw and
gasket back in, snug it, and run it. Not all steam engines have a sight glass-window in the boiler.
Have fun, that's what this all about.

I am bidding on this Jensen #5...I want the engine and steam pipe and the water pump...however the electric fired boiler is pretty ruff and sight Glass is broken. Does the boiler have any value to a Jensen man? I want to gas fire but if I could pass the boiler along to someone for a few bucks plus shipping it may make this deal possible! The ad states the electric heater does get hot and run the engine, of course I have no way to confirm this until arrives.
