Manufactured 09/2013, purchased new from Mini Steam last summer. There are different displacement lubricator arrangements for the SP6, but I gather all of the steam oil is 'displaced' (i.e., dumped) at the beginning of the run. This one runs very well on Esbit or the Bix burner setup that's included. I'd estimate 10 hours' run time, at most.

Issues:
-The plastic steam valve handle will spin freely if the valve is opened completely and the user continues to turn (hope that makes sense). A dab of epoxy or other suitable heat-proof adhesive will fix.
-The non-functional chimney is easy to knock off and will be wrapped separately for shipping. A dab of silicone will keep in place (works great on my Jensen chimney).
-Some sticker residue (shown in pics).
-A little paint wear from plastic washers used to attach engine to wooden base (not included).
-Some scorching on boiler/chrome(?) side panels from Esbit use.
-Bix fuel tank has a very small ding (won't show in pictures), present when it arrived from Forest Classics (don't even get me started on them...)
-The gas burner air flow adjustment isn't quite dialed-in. The gas pipe is new and I didn't spend the time to get the flame just right.
-This beast is an absolute mess to run as steam oil foam is released in the exhaust with no proper method for channeling it away. That may appeal to some. It doesn't to me. (I guess I'm not a very good salesperson...)

Edit: Also, the flywheel is a bit out of true. I knew this would be the case with this model, and apparently most recent Mamod engines, prior to purchase. Doesn't bother me and I'm sure it would drive accessories without issues.
