I seem to remember someone doing a review back when all the rage hit a few years ago maybe it was Timvrip ,anyway it did actually work as I recall ,but your tethered to a air supply.

Jim, would you be willing to do a video review when the "India steam stick" comes in?...I don't "need" one but I does have a certain appeal!
Yes Ben, I'm looking forward to seeing what the quality is like. Not expecting a whole lot being from India and that price, but hopefully I'm surprised.

Just bought one for $41 USD including delivery. As Bill said, it should be a good conversation piece and something else to prove to my non steaming friends that I've lost the plot.

Hi Jim,
I bought one of those about 5 years back and posted a short video of it running on steam, I think I hooked it up to a Mamod vertical boiler to test it.A great convrsation piece.
Thanks Bill.

It took me 12 attempts to make a glass bezel to surround the flame when walking around (so the flame stayed on task) not shown in the video. this walking stick is 98 % brass. the engine can move up & down the 3 brass columns as well as the burner pot base can also do likewise. its also a hand warmer on cool nights ;)

When I am ancient and feeble, and when I'm sitting in a "home" without any of my toys left, I can have one of these as my walking cane and still have one steam engine left....😞

Very interesting!...I did a quick search on YouTube and watched 3 videos...2 running on air and one on steam. One stated his tryed but did not want to run, inspection revealed a slightly tight piston. A light polish and it was off and running.
If just a steam room toy, maybe fine as is...my first thought was it would be fun if the stick itself contained an air tank so you could run it for a stranger out on a walk!...I was trying to think how I could taper a copper water pipe like a pool cue for a nice look?
Also it occurred to me some practice Olympic javelins are hollow aluminium! Perhaps a section of javelin could be used. If it was ugly.... wood veneer could be bonded to it...just some early thoughts....they do seem to run and very bargain priced.

I think Phil (Mr. Mamod) on the old Forum may have had one at some point in time.

Jenny wants to buy one of these Walking Stick Steam Engines for me.
I remember a long time ago Bruce made a super cool one out of (I'm pretty sure?) a Wilesco D2.
Has anyone got one of these Indian ones?
