How crazy is that Gil!!!

We got two engines each?? (Though I still have one refund outstanding).

I also got the flame licker working yesterday after some fettling (my new Uk word). They are quite hefty in weight aren't they and like your video showed they sound ok running.
What did you think of the black screw that they used just sticking out about half an inch to hold the piston arm? Everything was loose on mine as well.

And yes like Nick said I got the allen keys and you got the burners.....what a crazy bunch of scammers they are! Like you said...."They aren't none to bright" :)

Never thought I’d see it running that good!  :D

Looks like you ended up with Jim’s burner and he got all the Allen wrenches  :D

And......

Another for the books!

A second copy of this flame licker arrived today.

This one came with an extra package wrapped inside the box.
In it were 3 alcohol burners with site glasses no less!

This inspired me to tighten and align all that was loose and try my hand at timing.
I must have gotten lucky because it took off running on the first flip.
This is no small accomplishment for a flame licker.

Here it is with a burner:

Hahahaha I love it Gil....feels good to scam a scammer...(even though we didn't, in fact they scammed themselves out of these two engines) !!!!
They surely did snooker themselves!

If yours runs I need good detail of the timing.

Jim....... That exact same engine arrived here today...

And this also from an order that was refunded...!!!

My crank arm came out of the box loose so timing is far off.

No burner here and no Allen wrenches.

What a weird turn this story is taking. Jim I am surprised you even got the loose flame licker.

Gil

Does it run?

Haven't got around to trying it Jan. It would need work before even trying.

If having both the engine and a refund is playing on your conscience @Jim then just send it to me.
I have no such qualms  ;)

I don't have any qualms with this scammer.

I'm hoping PayPal want me to send the first POS engine back to them at the scammers cost......there will be house brick in the box.

You’re lucky you even got through to a person

They have this new system where they give you a code and when you ring you punch that code in and they pick up pretty fast and know who you are straight off the bat.

I agree that paypal should do something, but can’t they just keep making new accounts?

You'd think you'd have to show some way that you're a legit business?

I've had a fair few calls with PP now over this and boy oh boy its a frustrating experience talking to someone that doesn't have that great a grasp of English and their accent is so strong.

Flame lickers can be fun ..... if your patience quotient is high enough.

They can bring a grown man to his knees can't they Daniel.

It's got a Nice chunky flywheel..Cyl mount is a little square...you "might" be able to make a decent runner out of that!...depending on the internals.

I'll be surprised if it runs. It honestly is so sloppily put together.

I’m confused why they’re even sending an engine... Maybe it’s their rejects and that’s how they get rid of them??

This one seems pretty rough and REALLY sloppy Nick. I think instead of binning it, they're running this scam.

Really pisses me off that PayPal allow them to use PayPal as a payment method. PP keep saying to me that they are looking into it.

Here's one for the books!

You'll remember that I ordered two engines from a scam site where they send you out engines that you didn't order. I put a claim in to PayPal as soon as Gil worked out that it was a scam site and they refunded one immediately, the second is still in the PP Resolution Centre.

Well, yesterday an engine arrived from the Chinese scammers this is the first one that PP refunded me in full for (it should have been a H&M Engine). So somehow even after being refunded it went through their 'system' same tracking number etc etc....so it looks like they scammed themselves. (no burner but a bunch of allen keys)
