Add a hint of coal smoke and I'm sure it would sell quite well, to a discriminating clientele !!!  ;c)

Philip that's a nicely built engine.

Thanks Jim, I hope to get a MSM Pevensey to keep it company at some point!

Certainly a fine example of a Stuart 10H you have there Philip ... I'd be keeping that one for sure. Always like the 10H but somehow never managed to get one .... yet anyway. I do have a couple of Stuart 10V engines, but nothing to compare to what you are showing here.

The smell of hot iron and steam oil is sweet, I do agree.

Thanks Daniel, this one won’t be going anywhere! I also have a very fine Stuart 10V which runs just as good as this engine. I do like the 10H and I hope you manage to acquire a nice example for your own collection at some point in the future.

Yes the smell is nice and reminds me of working with the full sized stuff, shame you can’t bottle it as I reckon you could sell it!

Pretty nifty. I have castings for one of these, and hope to get to machining them one day..

Philip, that is a sweet runner.  I have same one but have only run it on air.  Yours is a keeper for sure.

Rog

Thanks Rog, it is a beautiful runner. You ought to get some steam through yours, the smell of steam, oil and hot iron is fantastic!. If you are worried about corrosion, I always suck a bit of steam oil in the cylinder whilst it is still hot to displace any remaining water through the drains.

I must admit I can see the attraction of those MSM engines with them being all bronze, certainly for regular steam use.

Had this engine quite a few years but i realised i hadn't done a video of it under steam before:

The 10H is a very capable engine, especially with a lot of PSI behind it.
