If those Kennedy boxes weren´t way too expensive over here, i´d certainly ad one or two of those to my shop as well.
They don’t come cheap here either! I am lucky to have both my Grandpa and Grandma’s Kennedy boxes that they got to take home when they retired from IBM

Impressive boat, and a very nice buildthread on the engine.
I really like that workshop, nice and compact, while still offering loads of possibilities.

I've always been a model build, mainly R/C ships and boats,, about 15 years back I ebayed a unimat SL100 which helped greatly in model work,, 2 years back I bought a LMS 3690 mill (to help with the current project) a LMS 7530 lathe arrived a few weeks back.. I'm mostly self taught, but I work at a university and within 200ft from my building is a advanced machine shop so advice is nearby.. link to the madness

What a great machine shop!
And the Navy Boat is divine.
Makes my boats look like a first grader’s art work taped on the fridge. 🤠

That was your first post? Holy Cow, I think my first post was actually an Email to someone about how to post.
Welcome aboard to you and to your friend, the skinny one.

Welcome to the Forum and thank you for participating in GPU 2021.
Quite an ambitious project you have undertaken.
I was admiring your skills as I watched the video and looked at the pictures.
Were you a machinist by trade? Do you have a lathe and a mill?
Would love to see your shop.
Cheers,
Charlie

project is a scale live steam US navy 1890's 30ft steam cutter(launch), a Stuart turner compound launch engine kit was used as "donor" for the block and other parts. Other parts were castings I had done. The block's size set the scale at 1/6th for the project so I'll end up with a 5ft model. a person in 1/6th scale out at around 12" tall, my shop assistant fits the measurement, except for some final things the engine is up and running(on air)work on the boiler feedpump is well underway. wood for the hull has started.. Many of the brass hull fittings have been completed..
