Arnold, Thank you for your comments, I have to say that I didn't build the boiler it is a steel boiler and the regulations are strict in the UK regarding steel boilers, they have to be welded by a Coded welder and all steel in it's construction has to have documentation paper work so the boiler is a professional build.

The engine is a easy steamer, powerful but nice to drive.

Michael.

Thank you for replay - I know the Boiler's need official proof - I have two Burrells 3" and 4 1/2"
and a Foster 4". I bought them in working order long time ago and make only Service and Repair.

I like your Boat and your Marshall Traction engine.
I have made many Steam engines from scratch but never such a complex
Building of a Tractor. There are many issues to manage -
the wheels, the boiler, the engine, the firebox and and....

Congrats, Arnold

Thank you everybody for your kind comments on my models.

And a addition for my Table.
The engine is made from castings which are available in the UK

Michael , the attention to detail on your lovely Marshall traction engine is remarkable, one of the nicest traction engines I have ever had the pleasure to view. An 8 year dedication to a steam project is something I hold in very high regard , well done Sir !

That Marshall is, is, is, indescribable. I'm at a loss for words.

Some beautiful model engineering!

It takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to take on a big multi-year project like that lovely traction engine.

Two beautiful builds. I love the tug engine, 2 feed pumps, full reversing gear, return flue boiler, it has it all.

Hi Nick,

Yes the first firing was a bit nerve racking but all went well, I only had to alter the size of the blast nozzle to increase the the draught on the fire.

Michael.

That Marshall is downright amazing !!!

I can see how such a project could derail almost any previous plans.
Exceedingly well done Michael, and thanks for sharing.

A very nicely built launch plant Michael.

Keeping my fingers crossed, that you brought a peek at the TE build to your table, must be something to sidetrack you from this beauty  :)

The traction engine is a 3" scale Marshall, the engine took me 8 years to complete.

That steam plant is positively SUPERB, and my thinking is that perhaps it is time for you to consider getting back to the Tug Boat Build!

I second the motion. 🤠

You need a BIG hull for that beast.

A wonderful build.

You teased us with your reference to a traction engine project.

Do tell more......

OH YEAH, lets see that. Come on show us that TE too. It's got to be good if it's
anything like this steam plant for the tug.

I built this steam plant for a model tug boat that I intended to build, but got side tracked with a traction engine build.
Michael.
