Wish I had a granddaughter like that to play with it. I like how she noted that the figures are properly socially distanced at 6 ft apart!

Here's one more short video of the Brent's Marklin Carousel.

This time with the joy of a child operating it!

Enjoy!

What a great table. I've seen the paradox engines come up for sale now and then but always backed away
because of the gas issue. It's good to see one running and I'll bet at the shows, yours draws quite a
following. Love that carousel.

And there's more...here's the 'baby' Schoenner next to its dirtier younger brother. The smallest one has 3.5-inch flywheels vs. 5.25-inch on the larger. So this is not Schoenner's largest toy gas engine. Have yet to run this one.

Original list price was $1995 and there were many sold for about 1,000. This one, in 2001, was $997. on special!

Thanks Gil!

Thanks Gil. The quality of the music is better than I expected. Not sure what the original price of these were, but an original (antique) will cost you upwards of $50k.

I will be happy with my replica then  ;)  :D

I remember sending my mom to pick mine up as she works by the UPS store. Took her and a couple workers awhile to figure out how to get it in her car  :D  They eventually had to take it out of the shipping box as it wouldn’t fit... peanuts everywhere  :D

Great to have the receipt, even if it isn’t an antique yet... What was the original price on these?

But wait.....   I have more!

Today this is the only video I had time to create. Brent had asked me to meet a lady from Greenwich to pick up a Marklin Carousel for him. It turns out she is the original owner and turned over her original sales invoice from 20 years ago when she bought it. She was very pleased to learn it would not be flipped and that it will be part of Brent's permanent collection.

I got it home and could not resist opening it up for a little play.

and...  I am pretty certain Ci Ci will want to give it a go tomorrow.

Then I'll put it back in it's crate and find a box to protect it until Coolspring.

I made a short video and it belongs here on Brent's Table.

Enjoy,

Gil

I feel a little spoiled as I got to see it in person at the Flame Ignition Expo at the Coolspring Power Museum.

Thanks for sharing the experience.

Sorry I have not been able to put together a proper table but thought this better than nothing. This is the smallest and earliest of the Schoenner sideshaft atmospheric, flame ignition gas engines from 1896. Seldom seen running.
