Thanks for sharing Tom!
Sure is a fine running engine, and some neat closeups of all the action, really enjoyed watching this.
Glad you enjoyed it Jan. This is the D365 that you helped me source parts for. Thank you!

Thanks Bruce! Got lucky and got a good runner from eBay again. Should provide years of trouble free dog harassment, haha! ;)
Thanks Nick! Nope, no oil on the carpet...yet. Couldn't make it over the hump. Hmmm...needs rubber tires now I reckon.
Dang Ben, $12 bucks for the whole works, eh? Just the crank, screw and spacer cost that much these days. I'll bet you could convert the roller to tractor wheels. Might be best to look for a donor machine on eBay than to buy the tractor front end new. I'd just buy myself a tractor and keep the steamroller as is. They're both pretty cool!
Thanks Jim! Glad that you found the music enjoyable. I wasn't sure about my sound levels, so I'm glad it wasn't offensive. The fuel that I used was Sterno Canned Heat. I was all I could find locally and does the job for now.

Tom, enjoyable video and I liked the music intro.
What fuel gel did you use in the foil tray?

This brings back memories!....my father had a friend that had full size traction engines, he made a trip to Germany approx early 70ies and imported a number of Wilesco engines back to US in his luggage...the story was Wilesco much lower priced in Germany at that time. If memory serves I thought he said he payed approx $12 US for the olde Smokey my older brother got...we loved it but always wished for 2 wheels in front rather than Steam Roller...my brother asked me last Sunday If it could be retro fit with 2 wheel front end, I have not had a chance to look into it yet...

Cleaned up nice and runs well 👍 Hope you didn’t get any oil on the carpet ;) :D

Nice video Tom , ol' smokeys are the tried and true Wilesco mobiles, yours runs very well.

Hey guys, Just got my Wilesco steamroller up and running and thought I'd share a video. Replaced a missing oiler, crank spacer and screw, and stuck an old piece of copper into the stack bushing for now. Anyways, she's up and running...have a good day.
