I have a hard time discerning what is Even original on this anymore...can't imagine to much.

IMO it looks good, but just not worth the effort.

Right now trying to fit a D16 on a Wileso TE is my higher priority....but if I find an Ertl model selling to low I will put it on my shelf for a future build. The Wilesco build will give me a better idea of work involved. Hiding a decent boiler inside the Ertl castings might be more work than fitting a steam cyl.

That's really neat , there's a lot of work there.

That guy made a couple and sold them on ebay

Sorry....I found a YouTube video just a couple minutes after I made my post...so the answer to my question is YES!
The short video is worth watching, It makes really nice chuff sounds in my opinion.

Nice looking model. They where cheap new but now bringing pretty big bucks on eBay. This model has quite a few scale bits that spin when you push the model, got me thinking about conversion to live steam. I have to many irons in the fire right now but thought I would see if anyone else built one?
