I need some info for repairing a couple earlier Weeden engines. The sight glass nuts appear to be a lead alloy and as far as I can tell an odd thread? As best I can determine they are 1/4 18, not the typical 1/4 20 but there isn't much thread there to get a measurement. Can anyone confirm this and is there anywhere that I can get replacements other than trying to find good ones on a junk engine?
Also I have a Marklin 4097/92 in need of the u-bend sight glass seals. Glass is ok thankfully. Can someone recommend a source?
I am in the process of inventorying my engines that have been ignored for 20 plus years and trying assess what it will take to make as many as I can complete or at least functional if possible. Thanks for all your help!
