Easily my favorite design for a toy steam hammer, but that may be because my first ebay purchase was a Weeden hammer.

I like the little handle on the pulley too. Nice work Jim 👍 and yes, we’re ready for the video  ;)

Built this some years ago now and there was always a few little problems.

Completely stripped and took it apart a week ago and did a complete rebuild.

Instead of welding the steel (which caused the initial problems I was never 100% happy with) I used oxy acetylene and silver brazed the steel
and everything stayed perfectly aligned. Three coats of paint and each coat baked in the oven and many little refinements done, polished up the
brass and put it all back together on a new hardwood plinth.
