I’m three quarters through a USB regulated version of Jin’s #4 generator, and a USB socket that takes anywhere from 5-15v or so, and gives regulated USB output. Then of course use the USB input for a plasma ball.

:)
When you see me driving a plasma ball at an exhibition Alan, remember you showed me it could be done.

I sure enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it here! Jan's work is good inspiration.
When I get some time freed up, I may just have to take on a similar project.

Thanks Guys.
I can't recommend that Jarrah wood highly enough, it is so solid and heavy, makes superb bases.
Recommended to me by my friend Rob from the 'xynudu' YouTube Channel.

Enjoyable vid Alan as always, I'm currently bodging my way through a build with the help of Jan (when it comes to electronics my brain fly's out the window!).

Really enjoyed viewing that...
Such a nice set up there, and a fine explanatory video as well.
Well done and thanks for sharing Alan :)

Nicely done Alan, I find my china hit and miss engines run better when very secure mounted. That heavy wood is doing the job really well and looks grand to!
We don't see enough videos of folks putting there hit and miss engines to work....thanks for sharing!

Based on Jan's steam engine powered plasma ball accessory. Here's a similar setup using the M90 Hit & Miss Engine.
