Outstanding work Jim.
I would appreciate you posting a picture of the bottom so I can see the wiring.
@txlabman
Here's a pic of the routed out underneath of the hardwood plinth and my wiring attempt (its none to purdy :) ) and here's Jan's wiring diagram for you Charlie.

Thanks Ben, I tried it off a Jensen #20 like Jan used in his video and it didn't cut the mustard. I then made a larger ali pully for the Jensen #20 and it only
gave the plasma ball the slightest murmur at the top of the post. So hence the Polish School engine which lit it up pretty brilliantly. I didn't see that many arcs when
it was just plugged into the USB.

Well done Jim, what I noticed in addition to the craftmanship is your Plasma ball seems to burn a bit more brightly than others I have seen. You are running off the Main Flywheel of the steam engine gives excellent RPM (gearing) to the genny vs a smaller drive pulley....also I suspect the Austrian genny makes a bit more power than some, thanks for sharing!

That turned out great. I can see why the kids like it.
Thanks Tommy it ended up a case of you "touch it" "no you touch it first" :)

Plasma Ball + Austrian Genny + Polish School Steam Engine and a shout out to Jan :)
Thanks Jan @classixs (on the steam forums and Steamup channel on YouTube)for the diagram for wiring in the bridge rectifier, wouldn't have been able to wire that all up in a million years without that mate!
