I Did think of that, my buddy is into rc cars and he likes to go fast! So when he buys a new car the very first thing he does is remove the stock motor and put a shiny high $ one in...he has a whole drawer full of. New stock DC motors and likely eager to be rid of them ;D

Why not build one yourself Ben?

You just need to ad a pulley to a small DC motor, and you´re good to go :)

I know the blue thunder/black thunder are much sought after and command a price. Also of late the Austrian genny is well reguarded.
My question: is there a Jensen or even Wilesco genny that is considered desirable? I seek good output, quiet in use and if it looks nice that does not hurt ;D
I am not stuck on the makers listed but any options to produce volts on a budget. Also would be helpful if smaller engines can run it.
I hope to score a blue thunder or similar some day but looking for usable volts in the lower $ market right now.
  Any thoughts would be appreciated!
