Gil, you're having way too much fun with that engine!  ;D  I was lucky to find one of John's 15BL's in the wild a couple years back

Here is the 3rd video of the Jensen 20-S.

I changed the generator for one of my prototype #15 ball bearing generators.

The original #15BL generators were designed and tested by our own SteamerJ.
There were several prototypes built by John before he produced the 15BL for Jensen with the extended shaft and extra stepped pulley.
I have several of these prototypes that John was kind enough to let into the Office of Steam a number of years back.

Enjoy,

Gil

you have the engine really "dialed" in now Gil, Jensen's runs so sweetly when everything is just right. & that big boiler has no problem supplying the #20 with steam. as Nick said...I would be surprised if this engine was ran enough to have worn the bearing much & I would gladly supply you with one if needed, with the #15 generator I have found that sometimes the generator sometimes "grounds" through the roller ball bearings (although it shouldn't) instead of the brass stator ground tab & that may be some of the wear issue, might try some steal wool on that section of axle.  but anyway you got it "spot on" now &  an even more pleasure to run.

Is that a #20 speed record?  :D

Can't believe that bulb didn't blow the way it was glowing. And what a difference in sound from before the adjustments.

Has this had much run time that the 15 is worn?

I spent some time adjusting the Jensen 20-S.

I loosened the bolts under the engine casting and moved it back a few thousandths and fixed the alignment and then adjusted the timing a bit.

I think it made a noticeable difference in performance and efficiency, in addition to running smoother and a little quieter.

Enjoy!
