This is already my second Stirling. I had ordered the same part about 2 years ago in China. Cost about € 15.00. When a friend from Munich, who is otherwise not particularly interested in steam engines and Stirlings, was very excited about the running Stirling. I gave him the part as a gift. It is now running in Munich. I immediately ordered a new one in China. € 7.80 incl. postage. Unbelievable.

Jan, I understood it that way too. :D

By the way, a nice story about the grandfather, the TV antennas, the teacher and John Wayne:

Hände hoch! ;D

Jürgen, i was just kidding :)
Sort of deducted something within those lines, after hearing it through again, with the volume cranked up a notch.

My grandfather was a radio-mechanic, and when i grew up we always was leading, when it came to amount of television broadcasting channels.
Here in Denmark we had just one national TV station back then, but he mounted antennas tall enough on my parents property, to give us both Swedish and German stations as well.
In fact we (me and my friends) spent so many sunday afternoons, eating popcorn and watching dubbed westerns on German TV, that we thought our english teacher was slightly retarded, when she insisted that it wasn´t "Hände hoch" but "Hands up"...we all knew exactly how John Wayne said it :D

...and how on earth did your radio/television catch anything in english down there, are you putting on a show for us here Jürgen? :D

Sorry, this is not a show for the forum. When I made the video, my wife just played one of her English audio books. Does it all the time while doing housework. Before she retired, she worked as a translator for a local medium-sized company that trades internationally. Now she tries to keep up her language skills with the help of the audio books.

Little Stirling is often on our coffee table running when we have visitors.
All it takes is a cup of hot water, or coffee, to run it.
