Hi,

Yes, Jutta is a very reliable and helpful seller, overseas is not an issue.
Not always cheap, but always good products !

I recommend this seller.

Regards,

Maurice.

Yes, her name is Jutta Wildmoser and she lives in a place near Munich, Bavaria. I am sure that she also sends the little pipe to "far far away" Canada. Costs only something and takes its time (shipping by sea).

Good Luck

I bought from the seller many times. I believe her name is Jutta.

Exactly what I’m looking for!
I will have to translate it and see if they ship to faraway Canada.
Thank you, sir.

Hello,

the matching steam whistle for the small machine is just offered on ebay Germany.

https://www.ebay.de/itm/144003031763?hash=item21873fe2d3:g:8WUAAOSwFN9fgEie (https://www.ebay.de/itm/144003031763?hash=item21873fe2d3:g:8WUAAOSwFN9fgEie)

The price is still within normal limits. The whistle should fit. You should measure the internal thread in the boiler of your machine as a precaution.

Information from the seller:

Pipe for Doll steam engine
Thread 5,1 mm
Height 4 cm

Shipping to Australia and USA is currently by sea

I have bought from this seller more often. He is absolutely trustworthy and correct.

Hi

A food place for parts would be e-bay Germany.

Good to know, especially the information on the fuel. Any ideas where I might find a replacement whistle for it? The top is missing off mine.

Sorry for all the clutter. This is the machine and its tiny, round burner. Looks like something that would heat a fondue pot.

The Doll & Co. machines were, like all steam engines produced in Nuremberg in the 1920 - 1940 years, heated with methylated spirits. Can you show pictures of the machine here in the forum? You write that the machine has a round burner. I therefore assume that it is a small horizontal one or one of Doll's vertical machines.

Yes, denatured alcohol/methylated spirits (depending on what part of the world you’re in)

A picture of the burner would be helpful , but I'm guessing the fuel would be similar to denatured alcohol.

I’ve acquired a vintage 1930s vintage Doll & Co steam engine. Unlike my various Wilesco steam engines, this one doesn’t have a sliding tray for solid fuel under the boiler. It’s round, has a wick, and looks like it holds a liquid. What kind of fuel goes in here? Kerosene or something similar?

Any advice would be appreciated!
