It was a one-off or an experimental engine. The owner has several such engines that ended up with someone close to the Marklin family. There was a production model like this "false diesel" but with only two cylinders and a horizontal boiler.

I found the video a few days ago also on the site of the auction house Hohenstaufen and immediately watched with gleam in the eyes. This is the hammer!

it is a Märklin 4117/42 4-cyl. Steam engine - absolutely the rarest of the rare ones
