only problem I have with Stirlings is that they are even more addictive than steam engines

Thats really cool.  I feel stirlings are underappreciated, was my first engine :)

Beautiful machine. Very futuristic. The combination of modern technology with old technology is very well done in the machine. However, I would not necessarily call a Stirling engine old technology. The Stirling doesn't care what heat source it uses. When I think of solar energy and concentrated solar radiation... Who knows what the future holds for the Stirling.
