Looks like you were having great fun Bruce.
Sometimes its good to go back and run past projects , I don't do that near enough , once I complete a project I move right on to the next one.

Bruce, your transmission reminds me that I still have a planetary gear lying around somewhere that I was going to use to drive a music box. I should do that project sometime in the near future.
Speed is not all. Sometimes it's the slow movements that produce beauty.

Haha 😂 too slow!! I want my money back... At least those seats won’t need any cleaning/sanitizing between rides :D
Just think about how you are getting your money's worth , it's the "geriatric" swings go round ...😁 you will have time to analyze everything around you. (If you don't fall asleep first)

I did it with pleasure.😀

The "slow down" gear reduction is really cool. Thanks for the video.
You were the inspiration Jürgen 😊👍

Ok, Now your "getting fancy with the spices" with that beautiful transmission!
I suppose you could select a really high gear and even get the swings Higher than say Straight out. It would likely require an airfoil taped to the swings to provide some lift...BUT Please, please don't try it with that Very nice Empire swing!
I am having fun watching your videos Bruce!(pay no attention to my bad ideas)
I was trying to imagine just how much G-force the human body would experience if riding on a full size carnival ride spinning as fast as the second video in this thread, it would likely make someone pass out or worse! :o

In my second video I spun the swings faster than I had ever attempted before, not realistic at all but I was pleased that it was balanced enough as to not pitch itself onto the floor in a whirling gyrating heap.

For riding along on the carousel, this is probably more my speed.😂 Very nice.

I put my Jensen #85ELTF to work.

Nice Video Bruce, the Black boiler with bright metal chimney is a NICE looking combo. I also like the step pulley on engine for multi gearing options.
That swing accessory responds nicely to RPM changes, you got mild to Wild and everything in between...well done!
Thanks Ben , very little of the #60 plant is stock , Jensen never made a smooth side vintage fire box setup , it also has a #70 dbl acting cylinder assembly on it, so it is quite powerful.
-
Great engine and setup Bruce--but I wouldn't want to be on the swings!
Not in the second video 😉👍

I love the look of the wood based Jensen 60!
Great seeing it in action with a couple nice accessories, too.

Such a lovely compact and powerful engine...
Enjoyed that Bruce, thanks for sharing!
I had forgotten how powerful it was Jan , it had plenty of power left to drive more accessories.
-
Fun video Bruce, that #60 is still the cutest little wood based Jensen I’ve ever seen 😍
Thanks Nick , Ang thinks so too.
