I have seen a few different designs of the oscillating hit and miss engine.
Great to see yours running, Doug!

Yes, Herbish, except the fuel tank and base are not the Herb standards.

Interesting in as well interesting, lol. The video popped up in my recommendations, so no to owning or ever seeing it before. But many features make me consider it a possible work of Herb Bedell. I once asked him how many he made and he said over 130, and his son commented at least that many and I saw many made afterwards.
Herb was also prone to make engines on a "bet you couldn't" basis and the wobbler would be just that kind of engine. Did you also think it looked "Herbish"

That's interesting indeed! Does this mean you owned this engine previously and it is indeed a Herb Bedell engine?

Doug,
Interesting engine, it does look a little frenetic.

Is it running with a governor?

Hi Doug,
thank you for introducing and explaining the engine here. I have never seen such a machine before.
-
A very interesting engine indeed...
Thanks for sharing, and well done getting it back in running order Doug!

I knew you'd get it running Doug ( & running well !) what a fascinating engine, I've never seen another one. thanks for showing us.

It didn't take much to get this engine running that I got the first day of Coolspring. Today was the first day after a long week at the show, that I had an opportunity to work on it. It's quite an interesting engine, but not one that I'm likely to run for long periods of time. It seems like more of a novelty engine.
