I suggest that it should be named the "Dorita".
I like that....😊 , not sure Ang would see it that way.

I have one that is similar, subtle differences.
The one I have is numbered 0745 they produced 1000 of them.
If you want one better to look for the collectable version they produced.

I made a steam powered skiff but I admit I'm not exactly satisfied with the Heritage powered contraption. I'm looking for a reasonable set up for playing with in a lake with my son. The nearby lake is perfect for it as the beach is very shallow area and the water is crystal clear.

It seems like all the name-callers have gone to bed, I have noticed the forum is less active now the summer weather is here(not surprising)
Of all the ones listed (so far) I like Jenny 1 or some variation, I like how southern gals sometimes have 2 names like Jenny-May or Jenny-Sue, seems like a term of endearment like one might call a favorite wife/girlfriend 8)
Perhaps some good ones will yet show up?
Have you decided on a Hull yet?

Maybe I need to build a Jensen powered boat....hummm what could we call her ...?
-Pennsylvania Queen?
-Jeannette River Queen?
-Saint Paul Steamer?
just my very first thoughts...
Good ideas Ben. Here I go...
Jen-Psaki (😚)
Jenny 1
The "Tom Jensen Sr."
Jen-Yan (one for Bill W)
Jenny 0' (probably be a Turkey)
Jen-liner
Anyone else...?

Thanks Ben ,I have already had this on my radar & have contacted the seller yesterday & inquired if it was indeed "seaworthy " or just a model , he replied back to me but never answered my question. If it is seaworthy that would put me ahead of the game & all I would need to do is rig it with the proper equipment.

It seems like if you found a D70 for a great price and upgrade the boiler would be an option.
I found this built model of African Queen on ebay, I believe it is plastic hull with wood decking and non functional steam engine. Plastic models are often converted to RC but I suppose some extra care would be needed to protect from the heat of steam power, a wooden boat is better suited to take some heat.
The model in the ad is built, the kit can be had for less $
Just throwing out ideas 8)

Update: the ebay ad "claims" hand built wood hull, however I have found kits that say ABS hull with wood decking so I do not know if the ebay ad is correct?
Here is a photo if the ebay ad goes away

From a pure collector perspective it naturally is interesting, being their only complete launch offered, which also often is reflected in the pricetags.
Personally i find it too simple with itīs D3 boiler/D15 engine, and from a launch perspective on par with a well built Midwest Heritage kit.
I much agree Jan , the D3 boiler with its minuscule capacity & its impossible to view water level sight glass bubbles.
I do fancy making an "African Queen " type steam vessel though.
