Thanks all, I won't see him till sometime between Boxing Day and New Years Eve when he'll be down visiting for the Christmas holidays.

A great team effort Jim and Dennis!
Jim: have you presented the restored windmill to your friend yet? Just curious about his reaction. I am sure that he was thrilled.
I'm interested in that, too.

Hello Jim,
I am sure your friend appreciates the efforts you have made to restore the steam windmill.A great job by Dennis. Congratulations!
There are a lot of memories in these toys from childhood. Many a little story that happened in connection with the little steam windmill is remembered and retold.
I hope you are aware of what a great deed you are committing by returning the restored windmill.

Good on Dennis for making the parts to finish a boyhood toy for a childhood friend of Jim's, & then Jim is going to gift it back to him complete and running , what a great story 😊👍

Look what arrived from New Zealand yesterday :)
Asked Dennis if he ever had the time could he make me the missing parts for the 1950s Australian made Renown toy steam windmill that a friend of mine played with as a young boy and he gave it to me a few years ago. I want to put it together now and gift it back to him complete, he will be so surprised! It was bought for him one Christmas and his elder brothers ended up stripping it down and he never saw those parts again.
Thanks Dennis.....that was a might job mate 👍
